This is the most exciting step of the design process where you get to share what you like, what inspires you, and what your vision is for the home. 

• We will meet in-person to discuss the scope of work.  
• We will walk through the house to find out how you use the space and discuss what is working vs what isn’t working for you in terms of space planning, lifestyle, and personal desires.  
• We will establish a base timeline and discuss preliminary budgets. 

Once we’ve agreed on our working relationship, it’s now my turn to interpret your vision.  

• We will meet again to view and discuss the preliminary design concept. 
•  Preliminary floor plans, sketch models, moodboard imagery of furniture, finishes and colours will be presented to help clarify the design direction.  
• We will discuss changes to refine and finesse the project goals. 

The project goals have been confirmed.  Now, we get to ‘play house.’  

• I will work my magic and present you with a palette of materials to indulge your senses and bring your vision to life with 3D renderings!  
• We will make decisions and get down to the nuts and bolts of the design and detailing.  
• A set of working drawings and product specifications will be completed to ensure the integrity of your design during construction and installation. 

This is the hard part. The project really comes to life as we start

• receiving trade bids and vendor quotes
• signing contracts and purchase orders, and
• coordinating deliveries and installation  

It will get messy!  I am here to help you navigate and manage all the moving pieces so you can enjoy the process. 

Worth the wait.  Before we can celebrate, I will complete a final walkthrough of the project and check for quality.
