One of three concept designs for an exterior enclosure, this iteration draws from the restaurant’s rustic Northern Thai aesthetic to create a warm, street-facing extension of the interior.
The design features a cantilevered seating area, patterned motifs, and pivoting screen windows. A built-in bar top invites guests to pause—whether waiting for takeout or enjoying a drink—creating a flexible edge that opens to the city or shelters from the weather. Designed as a removable structure, the enclosure offers both function and atmosphere, rooted in cultural texture and material warmth.

Inspired by the rustic Northern Thai interior, this exterior enclosure concept creates a functional and inviting space for the restaurant’s takeout service. The design proposes a cantilevered waiting area above the existing sloped skylight, built with reclaimed wood and Thai-inspired patterns. Pivoting screen windows open to the street, allowing guests to enjoy a drink at the bar top in good weather or stay sheltered while waiting—enhancing the connection between the restaurant and the vibrant downtown streetscape.
The entrance is framed by a custom hostess station and integrated shelving, offering function and warmth. From this view, the cantilevered seating hovers just beyond, hinting at the layered experience inside.
With the pivoting screens open, the bar top transforms into an interactive edge between inside and out. The cantilevered seat provides a moment to pause—sheltered yet connected to the city.
